Nathan John Feuerstein was born on March 30 1991. His initials NF (stylized IF) are an American rapper, singer , and songwriter. Two EPs were released, I'm FREE (2012) [3] as well as an EP with a self-titled title from Capitol CMG in 2014. Mansion was his first major label release. The second studio album, Therapy Session, was released on April 22, 2016, and peaked at number 12 on the US Billboard 200. His albums have won numerous awards, among which include the Gospel Music Association Dove Award for Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year (Therapy Session).NF achieved mainstream popularity in 2017 with the release of Perception. the album charted at number one in the United States and was certified platinum. The album's third single, "Let You Down" was ranked at number 12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 reached number one in the U.S. and was also a top-ten worldwide hit. Feuerstein achieved the same commercial success with his follow up The Search (2019). Feuerstein stated that rap was an escape for him to escape during his childhood. He would record music using a karaoke device, recording his raps as well as instrumentals with a single microphone. On November 29 of 2010, Feuerstein independently released his debut studio album Moments under his real name. On August 2, 2011 the singer released his first single "Alone". The track featured producers and songwriters Tommee Profitt and Brooke Griffith. Xist Music came to Feuerstein’s work in the year 2012. He released his debut extended play I’m Free on May 2 in 2012 and Profitt was the producer. The tracklist featured nine songs that included "Alone". The EP also included an original version of Alone featuring Sean Simmonds. Xist teased the release the self-titled extended track, NF. However, Feuerstein separated from the label because of a dispute. The release of NF was subsequently delayed. However, NF featured a song, "Only One", featuring Shuree Williams, on the compilation album of the label, Move Vol 1. The singer released a single, "Beautiful Addiction", on November 4 2013, 2013. The track again featured an appearance from Profitt and also vocals from Brady Schmitz and Danielle Swift.
